I am so excited that I not only get to photograph Aaron and Weezie’s wedding, but that I got to do this engagement/family/motorcycle session! This is probably one of my favorites of all time. Partly because Keith and I both really liked Aaron and Weezie. They’re laid-back, down to earth, and fun to be around. And then partly because…well…you’ll see below.

I’m a little obsessed with this picture that Keith got. Good work babe.Aaaand this is their ADORABLE baby Carter on their motorcycle. I’m pretty much obsessed with this too. Aaron and Weezie may be the coolest parents ever for making this happen.Carter is such a beautiful baby. I just wanted to kiss him he’s so cute. {But I had a cold, so I tried to stay as far away as possible}I love this picture, especially of Weezie. One of my favorites for sure.I really love this shot, too. Thanks Aaron and Weezie (and Carter!). I can’t wait for the wedding.

Emily and David are two of my favorite people in the whole world. Emily, or as Kate my 2 year old says “Elmy”, is my best friend. She is incredibly special to me. I have never met a more thoughtful, encouraging, compassionate, kind, fun, caring, or trustworthy person (this list could be a lot longer). She is just the best and I hope we grow closer as we grow older. David is a pretty special guy, too…of course he’d have to be to get a girl like Emily:) Kate calls him “Day-bed”. I love these guys…and their little dog, too! (Harley is his name…he’s a bichon, and he’s adorable. Check out this post of him sneaking peanut butter on Emily’s blog. It’s funny. You may also see some really cute kids on there too if you look at other posts. Ok, they’re mine…I’m biased.)

Rena Carolyn was a bridesmaid in Ivey & Tom’s wedding, so when Rob asked her to marry him, she immediately called us to be her photographers. And we are so glad that she did! Rena Carolyn and Rob are one precious couple and are so easy to work with. We had a great time braving the cold to get out to do pictures before all the fall colors faded. As you can see, we got them at just the right time. The colors are all so vibrant.

When Laura scheduled to do engagement pictures at the cabin that Steven built by himself, I had a hunch it would be beautiful. And I was right! They built it to sell it (here’s the listing!) and I don’t doubt it will get snatched up fast. It is awesome. It sits on some beautiful property that is right up the mountain in Dunlap, TN.

On another note, Laura and Steven are one sweet couple and they are going to be married at the Fairyland Club in September. Keith and I can’t wait for the wedding!

Ivey & Tom, Engagement

After canceling our session twice due to rain, I knew I had to bring my A game to get the absolute best shots for Ivey & Tom’s engagement session! So I was very pleased when it not only ended up being the perfect morning for pictures, but also Ivey and Tom were so easy to work with and just plain fun to be around. Dave & Keren in Chicago

Dave and Keren are good friends of ours from Chicago! Dave and Keith have been friends for a long time, so getting to take their engagement pictures was incredibly fun. Dave is marrying this beautiful girl Keren in June, and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding b/c we are so excited for them both.

This little church courtyard on Michigan Avenue in Chicago is where Dave proposed to Keren. It was awesome (I’m talking about the courtyard, although I know the proposal was too!)

This one kinda makes me think “Dave and Keren, sittin’ in a tree…”

I love this image we got when we went inside to let our frozen hands thaw out. This is actually the church filmed in “My Best Friends Wedding”.

Allison and Nelson are one ADORABLE couple! For those of you who may want to know, Allison is sort of like family…her sister was my sister’s best friend who we “adopted” into our family…and we just love Allison the same. Emily got married last summer, and now it’s Allison’s turn this fall.

To give you all a little background, Leigh has been a friend in our family for many years. She was close with my sister, Jessica, and was a great friend to me when I was a freshmen in high school (we played softball together!). Leigh never failed to make me laugh and this is a fact that is still true today. She’s hilarious. And now she’s marrying a guy who couldn’t be any more perfect for her.
We are so excited for you guys (and are thrilled to get to be a part of all this!). We can’t wait for September.

Leigh and Sam wanted an engagement session that was uniquely them. I think you’ll see what I mean…this was incredibly fun (and yes, Keith and I took a spin on those skateboards…they are awesome!).
